WILDCATS IN THE COMMUNITY

Wildcats have always had a sense of community. One of the universities founding principles is on supporting its neighbors in the city, neighboring counties and the state. Each Wildcat is encourage to initiate change in the community they reside in. A Wildcat is always motivated to serve its alma mater. 
 

RALPH P. MALONE YOUTH MOTIVATION TASK FORCE

The late Ralph P. Malone, who once served as Fort Valley State University’s director of Career Development and Planning from 1965 to 1988, believed that Wildcat students had the skills to succeed in corporate America with good advice from a mentor.

In 1967, Malone launched the campus’s first Youth Motivation Task Force with the help of the National Alliance of Business to help students to finish their education and pursue a positive career path. In 1992, the Youth Motivation Task Force Program was renamed the Ralph P. Malone Youth Motivation Task Force Program in his honor.
